A toddler dies in a house fire while trying to save his family
A toddler died while trying to save his pet from a house fire.
One-year-old Loki Sharp from Gentry in the US state of Arkansas ran into a burning house on Saturday (local time), New York Daily News reported.
Later, he died at the hospital. His child also died.
Deshay Wilson, Loki’s mother, told KFSM the family was trying to put out the fire when the toddler ran back inside to save the six-month-old puppy.
“There were actually marks on the carpet where she was lying next to him, trying to save him from the fire,” she told KFSM.
“They were basically trying to save each other.”
A GoFundMe page has been created to help the family following Loki’s death.
Gentry Fire Chief Vester Cripps told the publication they believe the fire was caused by an electrical fault.
